Candidates for the M.S. degree in Electronics Engineering are required to complete 24 credit hours. Each student should choose a particular area of interest from the four specialized groups: the Digital Integrated Circuits and Systems (Digital ICS) Group, Analog/Mixed-mode Integrated Circuits and Systems (Analog/Mixed-mode ICS), the Nanoelectronics (NE) Group, or the Electronic Design Automation (EDA) Group, and take at least one core course from the specialized group. These core courses are listed below:
| Group | Course Code | Course Title | Credit Hours |
| ICS | None | ||
| Nanoelectronics | 921 U7110 | Semiconductor Devices and Physics | 3 |
| 921 U0880 | Solid-State Physics I | 3 | |
| 921 U7120 | IC Engineering | 3 | |
| 943 U0680 | Advanced IC Devices and Technologies | 3 | |
| 943 U0690 | Schematic MOS Devices | 2 | |
| EDA | 921 U2110 | Algorithms | 3 |
| 943 U0240 | Computer-Aided VLSI System Design | 3 | |
| 943 U0010 | VLSI Testing | 3 | |
| 921 U1980 | Computer Aided Analysis & Optimization of Integrated Circuit | 3 | |
| 943 U0280 | Physical Design for Nanometer ICs | 3 | |
| 943 U0300 | Logic Synthesis and Verification | 3 | |
| 942 U0640 | Convex Optimization | 3 |
At least 12 credit hours should be taken in the courses from one's specialized group, which needs to be approved by one's thesis advisor.
Seminar, Special Project, Colloquium I, Colloquium II and Thesis are required, yet not included in the 24 credit hours. Foreign languages are not required courses, and they cannot be counted in the 24 credit hours for degree fulfillment. Further information is as follows:
| Course Code | Course Title | Credit Hours | Course Note |
| 943 M0010 | Thesis | N/A | The oral defense result represents half of the assessment. |
| 943 M0060 | Seminar(ICS) | 0 | Digital ICS and Analog-Mixed-mod ICS students are required to take this course every semester, until four semester seminars are successfully passed. |
| 943 M0070 | Seminar(NE) | 0 | NE students are required to take this course every semester, until four semester seminars are successfully passed. |
| 943 M0080 | Seminar(EDA) | 0 | EDA students are required to take this course every semester, until four semester seminars are successfully passed. |
